Resilience is Relevant

Resilience is defined as the ability to recover from or adjust easily to significant adversity, trauma, tragedy, stress or misfortune. After traveling down the paths I have traveled as a child, a teenager, a young adult, a woman in recovery, and now a parent I know one thing to be true;
Resilience is Relevant!

Writing Again....

First, thanks so much to Nicole for inspiring me to get back to writing when she decided to do the same.
You can follow her blog at: http://letstalkforaminute.blogspot.com
I always enjoy her readings and opinions on things going on in her life.

I have always loved to write and when I first got into recovery I used writing as an outlet to sort through all the emotions and thoughts that come in early sobriety and I found it to be a great stress reliever and I still value being able to go back and read in my old journals or post from years past so that I never forget what I was feeling during such a life changing time.

Over the past year and a half I have been writing in a journal for my son, Leityn. I started a journal for him the day I found out I was pregnant and continued to write in it up until my expected due date. At that point I started a new journal once he finally arrived. I try to write in it as often as possible and I have made it a point to have important people in his life write in it as well. I really look forward to giving him these journals when he is older so he will know what was going on at such a small age and most importantly, how I feel as his Mom, during all these moments we share.

I use to really like myspace blog but since myspace is no longer cool I thought I would just create a new blog and pick up where I left off in my writing. My new blog will be about random things from being a new parent, relationships, recovery, people and life in general. My blog will be comprised of my own personal feelings and opinions about things, so if you read, it's at your own risk and I don't set out to hurt anyone with any particular subject so don't take any of this personally. If there is anything YOU would like my personal feelings or opinions on, just send me an email and I will be happy to write about it.

Thanks again Nicole!!

Much Love and Many Blessings to all!
